Photoresponsive Organic Crystals

Screenshot (161).png

Photoresponsive crystals are a class of organic crystals that change their properties in response to light. Particularly, we are interested in exploring the effects at the light-matter interaction volume that gives rise to exotic behaviors.  This include alterations in optical characteristics, structural transformations (or physical effects like bending), or chemical reactivity. They are utilized in a wide range of applications, from sensors to data storage and beyond.
